UPDATE:  Start of Daytime Closures on KY 164/Roaring Springs Rd in Trigg County Moved to Wednesday, March 2

Closures to allow extensive repairs due to recent flooding

PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 28, 2022)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has delayed the start of daytime closures along a section of KY 164/Roaring Springs Road in southern Trigg County to Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Additional materials had to be stockpiled before the work could start.  Hours of the closure have been adjusted in an attempt to complete the work by Friday afternoon.

KY 164 will be closed during daylight hours from the intersection with KY 139/South Road near the 18 mile marker extending eastward to mile point 23.4 near the KY 525/New Hope Road intersection to repair damage caused by recent flash flooding.

This section of KY 164/Roaring Springs Road will be closed from approximately 7:30 a.m., CST, to 5:30 p.m., through Friday, March 4.

The volume of work and the positioning of equipment to facilitate the repairs will require the roadway to be closed to all traffic while the Trigg County Highway Maintenance Crew is on-site.

There will be no marked detour.  However, motorists may self-detour via KY 525/New Hope Road and KY 139/South Road.  Trucks should seek an approved state route based on load weight.

Approximately 550 vehicles travel this section of KY 164/Roaring Springs Road in an average day.

KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice should these daytime repairs be completed earlier than expected.
