UPDATE: I-24 Westbound is Open near 30mm at Tennessee River Bridge
Site is cleared - All lanes open - Search for missing steers continues
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2022) – The westbound lanes of Interstate 24 are open at the 30mm on the Tennessee River Bridge. All lanes are open at this time.
Late Wednesday night, Kentucky State Police and Marshall County 911 Dispatch and emergency agencies from several counties responded to a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 24 westbound near the 30 mile marker at the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.
The crash site involved a total of 11 vehicles, including 8 SEMI trucks. One of the trucks was hauling cattle - a couple of dozen were reported escaped into the median.
Efforts to locate about 10 missing steers continue along I-24 between Exit 25 and the Cumberland River Bridge at the 33 mile marker. Caution is required.
The site is cleared. All lanes are Open.
