Break repairs to result in closure on KY 580 in Johnson County
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2022) – Break repair work is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 7, at 7 a.m. on KY 580 along Caudill Fork in Johnson County. This will result in daytime closures. The work will take place at milepoint 1.46, located 0.29 mile southeast of KY 40 and 1.46 mile northwest of US 460. The contractor will be working between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday. The current proposed start date (at the earliest) is for Monday Feb. 7, weather dependent. The project will last approximately two days, also weather dependent.
Drivers should use alternate routes during this time, such as KY 40 and US 460. District 12 asks that drivers to use caution and obey speed limits to prevent any accidents within the work zone.
