Oldham County and KYTC seek
input on KY 22 Planning Study
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 20, 2022) – Public input is needed to help Oldham County and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) identify transportation concerns on the KY 22 corridor between the Jefferson/Oldham County line and Crestwood.
Oldham County, in partnership with KYTC, initiated a study of the corridor with consultant engineering firm Qk4, Inc. in September 2021. The team has been working to identify existing conditions and wants to hear from you regarding your safety and traffic concerns within the study area.
Your input is essential to identify the needs of roadway users on a local and regional level. Please take a moment to help the team identify existing needs along the highway. There is a short survey available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CNKNMZF which concludes with an opportunity to place points through an online mapping portal to enter location-specific data about existing traffic and safety concerns.
The study will use engineering and traffic data (both current and projected to 2045) and public input to help develop possible short- and long-term highway improvements for the highway corridor. Another round of public involvement during Summer 2022 will collect your input on any proposed improvements. No future funding has been identified to implement any of the study recommendations.
Please complete the survey by Feb. 28, 2022.
A virtual public meeting will be held Wednesday, January 26th at 6:30 pm via Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82570491986 to provide a review of existing conditions and to gather input from the public.
