Update - Ford Road/KY 1924 now open in

One lane was previously closed due to a slide
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 22, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this advisory serves as an update. The route, Ford Road/KY 1924, was reduced to one lane due to high water that caused a slide. Heavy rain in spring 2021 caused damage and temporary closures for some routes in District 7.

Ford Road/KY 1924
- the previously closed lane on this route is now open at milepoint 1.5
- the roadway is open for two lane traffic
- this location is adjacent to the KY River (near Boonesborough Road/KY 627)
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties
