Paving along KY 303/Cuba Road in Southern Graves County starting Thursday, Sept 30
Work to take about 3 to 4 weeks to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 28, 2021) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans asphalt paving along a section of KY 303/Cuba Road in southern Graves County starting Thursday, September 30, 2021.
This work zone runs along KY 303/Cuba Road from mile point 9.55 just south of the Moreland Road intersection extending northward to mile point 15.44 just south of the KY 80 intersection, a distance of 5.89 miles.
Starting at 7 a.m., CDT, Thursday, a wedging and leveling course will be paved. A final driving surface will then be added, with gravel shoulders and edge line rumble strips to follow.
About 5,300 vehicles travel this section of KY 303/Cuba Road in an average day.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment required to facilitate the work. Motorists should consider using an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and paving personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Completion of all work is expected to take 3 to 4 weeks.
