Detour for KY 286 at U.S. 62/KY 286 Intersection in West McCracken County Extended into Aug. 28
PADUCAH, Ky. (Aug. 23, 2021) – A marked detour for KY 286 at the U.S. 62/KY 286 intersection in western McCracken County will continue into Saturday, August 28, 2021.
As a reminder, KY 286 is closed between KY 726/McKendree Church Road and the U.S. 62 Y Intersection at Milan Station in western McCracken County to allow reconstruction of the intersection. The detour of KY 286 traffic along KY 726 is expected to remain in place through Saturday, August 28.
To avoid delays along the detour, motorists and truckers should consider an alternate route between Wickliffe and Paducah via KY 121 and U.S. 62. This alternate route adds 4 miles of travel while avoiding delays in the work zone along the marked detour for KY 286 via the south end of KY 726/McKendree Church Road.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely notice should KY 286 be able to reopen earlier than expected.
