Update - Rescheduled inspection for the
Tyrone Bridge/US 62 in Anderson County
The bridge located at milepoint 11.63
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 19, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a rescheduled closure for the Tyrone Bridge/US 62 in Anderson County. A temporary lane closure will be necessary for routine bridge inspection operations.
Work was not performed Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20. Inspection operations are now planned for next week.
Rescheduled dates and times below:
Monday, August 23 through Friday, August 27 – 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day
Tyrone Bridge/US 62
- one lane will be closed at milepoint 11.63
- one lane will remain open while work is being performed
- this is the bridge over the KY River on the Anderson-Woodford County line
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
