Update - Versailles Road/US 60 in
Lexington, Fayette County
Operations between Oxford Circle and Angliana Avenue
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 19, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news advisory serves as an update. Temporary lane closures will be necessary for sidewalk ramp work.
Traffic loop work and base (asphalt) failure repairs were completed. Milling and paving operations have concluded. The anticipated completion date for the entire project is Monday, November 15.
Note for the ongoing project:
- work continues to be scheduled weekly Mondays through Fridays
- at least one lane will remain open at all times for motorists
- no work will be performed on holidays
Versailles Road/US 60
- the project is located between Oxford Circle (milepoint 6.115) and extends east to Angliana Avenue (milepoint 7.400)
- a distance of 01.28 miles
Revised schedule:
Work will not be performed Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20.
Monday, August 23 through Friday, September 3 - 6 p.m. evenings until 7 a.m. the following mornings
- saw cutting operations will be in effect for the existing sidewalk
- sidewalks will be poured with ramps
- one lane will be closed
- one lane in each direction will remain open
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
