Update - Resurfacing project continues for
Bourbon County
Levy Road/KY 57 and Bethlehem Road/KY 1939
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 18, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. The routes for resurfacing include both Levy Road/KY 57 and Bethlehem Road/KY 1939.
Bethlehem Road/KY 1939
- base (asphalt) failure repairs have been completed between milepoints 4.5 and 5.5
- resurfacing has not started at this time
- this is a straight stretch of road with no intersections
- Bethlehem Road/KY 1939 – motorists can utilize Winchester Road/KY 627 and Carlisle-Burris Road/KY 57 as alternate routes when resurfacing begins
Note:
- work could be in effect for some Saturdays and Sundays if deemed necessary
- flaggers will be onsite to assist motorists with one way traffic at specific times
Currently:
Thursday, August 19 through Friday, August 27 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays
Levy Road/KY 57
- base (asphalt) failure repairs have been completed
- resurfacing will be in effect between the intersection with US 460 (milepoint 12.7) and the intersection with Cane Ridge Road/KY 537 (milepoint 17.8)
Note:
- thru traffic is discouraged because the road is very narrow and will have to be closed at intervals for the paving
- local traffic (residents who live along the route) should expect significant delays
- motorists should utilize alternate routes if at all possible
- emergency vehicles will have access through the project
Alternate Routes:
- Levy Road/KY 57 – motorists can utilize US 460 and Cane Ridge Road/KY 537
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties
