KY 3529/Maxon Road Connector to Close Just South of U.S. 60 Today & Friday
Closure from 8 a.m., CDT, to 2 p.m., each day
PADUCAH, Ky. (Aug 5, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close the KY 3529/Maxon Road Connector in western McCracken County today and Friday, August 5 & 6, 2021.
This closure is to allow the replacement of a cross drain on the KY 3529/Maxon Road Connector between 4-lane U.S. 60 and KY 3520/Old U.S. 60.
This short connector is expected to close promptly at 8 a.m., CDT, each day. The KY 3529/Maxon Road Connector will reopen at approximately 2 p.m., each day.
The McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew will be saw-cutting pavement and doing other prep work today, then return on Friday to replace the cross drain.
There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via KY 1565/Mayfield Metropolis Road or via the KY 3520/Old U.S. 60 eastern connection to U.S. 60.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely notice should t he roadway reopen earlier than expected on Friday.
