ALERT: U.S. 60 Blocked by Crash at KY 305/Cairo Rd Intersection in Western McCracken County

PADUCAH, Ky. (Aug. 2, 2021) – McCracken County Emergency Management reports a 2-vehicle crash is blocking U.S. 60 West near the KY 305/Cairo Road intersection in western McCracken County.
This crash site is at U.S. 60 McCracken County mile point 6.172 near the entrance to Barkley Regional Airport.
This blockage is to initially allow a medivac helicopter to land at the site. On-site incident management personnel anticipates being able to reopen one lane of traffic in each direction once the helicopter is in the air.
Motorists are asked to avoid this area to allow a crash reconstruction investigation.
Estimated duration is 5+ hours.
Motorists should consider a self-detour via KY 3520/Old U.S. 60.
