Update - Versailles Road/US 60 in
Lexington, Fayette County
Operations between Oxford Circle and Angliana Avenue
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 16, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news advisory serves as an update. Temporary lane closures are necessary for milling and paving operations. Traffic loop work and base (asphalt) failure repairs have been done. The anticipated completion date for the entire project is Monday, November 15.
Note for the ongoing project:
- weekly operations could continue to be scheduled - including Monday evenings (7 p.m.) and continuing through Friday evenings (7 p.m.)/Saturday mornings (6 a.m.)
- Sunday work could be scheduled
- at least one lane will remain open at all times for motorists
- no work will be performed on holidays
Versailles Road/US 60
- the project is located between Oxford Circle (milepoint 6.115) and extends east to Angliana Avenue (milepoint 7.400)
- a distance of 01.28 miles
Sunday, July 18 (including Monday, July 19) through Tuesday evening, July 20/Wednesday morning, July 21 – 7 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. the following morning
- milling operations will be in effect for Sunday evening through Tuesday morning
- paving operations will be in effect for Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties
