Work Zone Lane Restriction on U.S. 60 East of Paducah on Thursday, July 15
Work zone between Ledbetter Bridge and Clarks River Bridge starts at 7:30 a.m.
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 14, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along U.S. 60 in eastern McCracken County on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
This work zone runs from the 20 mile marker at the U.S. 60/U.S. 62 Intersection near the end of the Ledbetter Bridge extending westward to the Clarks River Bridge at mile point 18.6.
The work zone, starting about 7:30 a.m., CST, is to allow the McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew to use a milling machine to grind down several bumps in the pavement along U.S. 60 in the Harned's Drive-In area.
Initially, all traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone to allow the crew to work in the driving lane. Once the driving lane has been smoothed, the crew will shift traffic to allow grinding work along the passing lane.
The crew anticipates they will be working in this area much of the day.
Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
