I-24 Business Loop/U.S. 60-Business in Paducah to Close This Weekend for Additional Demolition at Precision Machine Shop
Closure scheduled Saturday and Sunday, July 17 & 18
PADUCAH, KY (July 14, 2021) The I-24 Downtown Business Loop/U.S. 60-Business along South Third Street in Paducah will be closed between Downtown Paducah and the Southside on Saturday and Sunday, July 17 & 18, 2021.
The I-24 Downtown Business Loop/U.S. 60 Business will be closed in the 1300 Block of South Third Street to facilitate additional demolition work at the Precision Machine Shop which was damaged by a May 31 fire. This closure is near the TransMontainge Fuel Terminal.
The roadway at this site will be closed from 7 a.m., CDT, to 8 p.m., on Saturday, July 17. The roadway will closed during those same hours on Sunday, July 18, if additional work is required on the building. Appropriate signage and barricades will alert motorists as they approach the closure site, with traffic being diverted down side streets.
The closure of the I-24 Downtown Business Loop/U.S. 60 is under a permit issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The I-24 Business Loop/U.S. 60-Business/South Third Street in Paducah will be closed at U.S. 60-Business mile point 2.948. Passenger vehicles will be diverted via Husbands Street and George Street. Trucks should seek an approved state route.
