Traffic Advisory: Daytime Closures of KY 3056 at Maysville for Embankment Repairs
Closed 8-4 next week, half mile from KY 8 intersection
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 25, 2021) – Kentucky Department of Highways crews will temporarily close part of KY 3056 near Maysville during daytime hours next week to repair an embankment slip.
Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, June 27, crews will close KY 3056 at milepoint 7.2 – about a half mile from the KY 8 intersection at Maysville – to install steel rails beside the highway to prevent the embankment from slipping. The road will be closed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day for approximately three days.
During construction, barricades will be placed at Jersey Ridge Road and KY 8 with only local traffic permitted past those points. All through traffic should use US 68 and KY 8 to navigate around the closure.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones, and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
