Update for Georgetown Road/US 460 in Scott County
The project between milepoints 8.583 and 11.497
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 25, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this advisory serves as an update for work on Georgetown Road/US 460. The project includes; asphalt repairs, milling/paving and sidewalk ramp improvements.
Georgetown Road/US 460
The following is an asphalt milling & paving schedule from Paynes Depot Road to near the Rocky Creek Subdivision East of Scotland Drive (a distance of 2.91 miles):
Wednesday, July 7 through Thursday, July 8 – 7 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday
- milling will begin at the West end of the project and progress toward Broadway/US 25
- paving will be in effect for leveling and wedging asphalt surface on entrances and the roadway to Kentucky Avenue with pavement markings installed
Thursday, July 8 through Friday, July 9 – 7 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday
- milling will be between US 25 and the Shell Gas Station at East Main Street Extended
- paving will begin at Kentucky Avenue and progress to US 25
Note:
- all operations will be in effect between milepoints 8.583 and 11.497
- at least one lane will remain open at all times for motorists
- flaggers will be onsite at specific periods to guide and direct the traveling public
All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
