KY 725/Woodville Road Reopened in Western McCracken County
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 17, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has reopened a section of KY 725/Woodville Road in western McCracken County.
KY 725/Woodville Road had been closed near the 4 mile marker since April 8, due to a failed culvert. Due to the size of the drainage pipe a replacement had to be ordered and fabricated. With COVID restrictions creating production delays at the fabrication shop, what was expected to be a 4 to 6 week closure turned into an 8 week closure.
Installation of the new culvert on KY 725 near the Old Hobbs Road intersection and Spring Bayou Baptist Church started early this week and was completed around Noon, today.
A temporary cap has been placed on the excavation. The site will be allowed to settle for several months before it is covered with a permanent asphalt driving surface.
KY 725/Woodville Road is now open at the 4 mile marker in McCracken County.
Thanks to everyone for your patience.
