Signal reconstruction for South Broadway/US 68 and West Maxwell Street in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 14, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled signal rebuild project in Lexington, Fayette County. A lane closure will be in effect on West Maxwell Street.
Monday, June 14 – currently and until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, June 15
Tuesday, June 15 through Monday, June 28 – 7 p.m. each evening until 6 a.m. each morning
Note: work is scheduled for weekdays (Mon. – Fri.)
South Broadway/US 68 and West Maxwell Street - the intersection
- a signal reconstruction project will be in effect at milepoint 6.427 (South Broadway/US 68)
- the right/slow thru lane on West Maxwell Street will be closed (located in the block from South Broadway/US 68 and Plunkett Street)
- West Maxwell and Plunkett Streets are LFUCG routes (no milepoints)
All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
