Traffic Advisory: KY 989 Closure June 14-18 in Lewis County for Slide Repair
Closed near Glen Springs, day and night
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 12, 2021) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will temporarily close part of KY 989 near Glen Springs in Lewis County next week for slide repairs.
Beginning Monday, June 14, and continuing through Friday, June 18, KY 989 will be closed about 5 miles south of the AA Highway (milepoint 7.7) between Toller Branch Road and Cypress Lane to repair an embankment slide. The road will remain closed around the clock, day and night, through Friday.
During the closure, through traffic may detour using the AA Highway (KY 9), KY 57, and KY 1237 or other routes through Burtonville.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
