Paving Planned along KY 962, KY 1422 & KY 1949 in Marshall County starts Wednesday, June 9
Work expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 8, 2021) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans asphalt paving along sections of KY 962, KY 1422, and KY 1949 in Marshall County starting Wednesday, June 8, 2021.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter work zone lane restrictions at the following locations:
KY 962/Old Olive Road
From mile point 0.0 at the KY 402 intersection extending northward to mile point 2.938 at the KY 1897 intersection
KY 1422/Tatumsville Highway
From mile point 6.239 at the Bethel Cemetery Road intersection extending eastward to mile point 7.923 at Moors Camp Highway, a distance of 1.68 miles
KY 1949/Wadesboro Road
From mile point 6.05 at the KY 3526 intersection extending northward to mile point 9.086 at the KY 408 intersection, a distance of 3.04 miles
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $620,628 group paving project. The work is expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
