I-64 West Ramp in Jefferson County to Remain Closed Temporarily

Additional concrete work needed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 24, 2021) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the continued temporary closure of an interstate ramp in western Jefferson County. The ramp from I-64 West to I-264 East was scheduled to reopen to traffic tomorrow, May 25. During concrete replacement work, KYTC contractors found additional depths of concrete that needed to be replaced. The ramp is now anticipated to reopen by the end of next week. Motorists can continue to detour the area by taking I-64 to I-65 South to I-264 West.

The following ramps will reopen to traffic tomorrow:

  • I-64 East to I-264 East
  • I-264 East to Bank Street

The contract for this ongoing improvement project was awarded to Louisville Paving and Construction in May 2020 in the amount of $10,968,000.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Visit goky.ky.gov for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  You can also get traffic information for the District 5 counties at facebook.com/KYTCDistrict5 and twitter.com/KYTCDistrict5.
