IDOT Contractor to Detour I-24 Westbound Traffic in Illinois on Wednesday Night, May 5
Overnight detour to be in place from 8 p.m., to 6 a.m.
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 4, 2021) – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) would like to alert motorists traveling I-24 Westbound of the upcoming Emergency Pavement Patching.
On Wednesday evening, May 5th, the contractor will CLOSE the I-24 WESTBOUND TRAFFIC LANES ONLY weather permitting from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., from Mile Post 37 to Mile Post 27, to perform pavement patching at Mile Post 29.
Motorists traveling, I-24 Westbound should utilize US 45 to IL 145, IL 145 to IL 146, then IL 146 to I-24.
Please use alternate routes, reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones.
