Several Interstate Ramp Closures Scheduled in Jefferson County May 14-18
Work part of ongoing improvement project
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 6, 2021) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of several ramp closures scheduled in Jefferson County next week. KYTC contract crews will be performing concrete work on the ramps as part of an ongoing improvement project that began last fall. The following ramps in western Jefferson County are scheduled to be closed beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 14:
- I-64 East to I-264 East
- I-64 West to I-264 East
- I-264 East to Bank Street
Work is scheduled to be complete on Tuesday, May 18. Motorists can detour the area by taking I-64 to I-65 South to I-264 West. Signs will notify drivers of the closures. The contract for this project was awarded to Louisville Paving and Construction in May 2020 in the amount of $10,968,000.
