Motorists Reminded of Traffic Flow Changes at KY 125/KY 166 Intersection in Fulton County
New traffic striping and signage completed
PADUCAH, KY (April 22, 2021) - - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has completed installation of new traffic striping and signage at the intersection of KY 125/Union City Highway and KY 166/Middle Road in Fulton County.
Motorists are advised to be alert for changes in traffic flow the new configuration brings to the intersection southeast of Hickman.
The most significant change is that all northbound traffic on KY 125/Union City Highway is now required to stop at the intersection. The work improves the visibility of approaching traffic on KY 125 from KY 166. It also adjusts some of the other traffic movements between KY 125 and KY 166.
The the final round of the intersection realignment work was completed this week with paving, signage and the addition of permanent traffic striping.
Temporary message boards are in place to alert motorists approaching the intersection to the changes in traffic configuration. Appropriate caution is required.
This intersection is at KY 125 milepoint 1.659 and KY 166 milepoint 0.0 in Fulton County. Approximately 2,800 vehicles travel through this intersection in an average day. KY 125 connects to TN Route 5 at the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line.
