Update for lane closure on Georgetown Road/US 25 in Fayette County
Part of the New Circle Road/KY 4 Widening Project
The entire project is located between milepoints 8.732 and 10.015
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Date, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an update for a lane closure on Georgetown Road/US 25. The closure is necessary for installation of drainage structures and curb/gutter. This work location is on the northbound side as part of the widening project.
Monday, April 12 through Friday, April 16 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day

Updated information:
- a lane closure is in effect on the northbound side between Rain Garden Way (milepoint 15.978) and Nandino Boulevard (milepoint 16.374)
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
Note: the location for the closure is no longer between Mercer Road (milepoint 16.285) and Nandino Boulevard (milepoint 16.374)
All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
