Lane closures on northbound Interstate 65 in Jefferson County continue June 14-15
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 14, 2019) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists lane closures are scheduled to return on northbound Interstate 65 between Fern Valley Road and I-264 (Watterson Expressway) on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.
Lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday to allow crews to install traffic data acquisition stations and roadway pavement markers. Northbound I-65 will be restricted to one lane from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Traffic will be diverted to the collector distributor lanes at the I-65/Fern Valley Road interchange (Exit 128) during this phase.
By 8 a.m. on Saturday two lanes of northbound I-65 will be open to traffic. Work is expected to be complete with all lanes reopened by 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Motorists should expect delays and avoid the routes if possible. When approaching and traveling through the work zones drivers should slow down and use extra caution.
