Closure of KY 2996 in Whitley County on Thursday and Friday
Necessary to repair road base and embankment
MANCHESTER, Ky. (Aug. 1, 2018) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that KY 2996 (Wolf Creek River Road) in Whitley County will be closed at milepoint 3.7 from 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.
Maintenance crews will reinforce the embankment and repair the damage to the road base caused by recent heavy rainfall.
Motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible. The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted
if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access
