Thank you to all of the Veterans and Active Duty Military Men and Women. Your sacrifice ensures our freedom at home. Although we recognize our service men & women on Memorial day and Veteran's Day I hope you will join me in thanking our veterans everyday for their service to our great country. Sincerely, Thank you.
Today Councilman David Yates met with Dr. Timir Banerjee of SPAVA, the Society for the Prevention of Aggressiveness and Violence among Adolescents, as well as local troubled youths in need of proper guidance at the Youth Detention Center.
Councilman Yates listened to the stories of each of the young adults in the classes that Dr. Banerjee volunteers to teach each Thursday. David then spoke to the youths about his own personal challenges and how organizations like SPAVA provide second chance opportunities to become successful citizens. Councilman Yates ensured the youth that Louisville Metro has not forgotten them.
