Renovated Shively Library Reopens
I was delighted to join with other community leaders and area students last week for the reopening of the new and greatly improved Shively Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library. Enhanced features at the library include 26 public access computers, a self-checkout machine, comfortable furniture, natural lighting and new bathrooms.
It's an exciting time to have a library card in Southwest Louisville. This renovation—along with the opening of the new Southwest Regional Library later this summer—represents a huge investment in the public library system and the valuable services it provides in our community. You can read the Courier Journal article on the reopening here and learn more about the project at the LFPL website here. Come check out the new Shively Branch soon!
Branch Hours: Mon-Thurs 10AM-9PM; Fri & Sat 10AM-5PM, Closed Sundays.
