Attention Veterans - Proposed VA Hospital Public Hearings Wednesday

The VA Medical Center is hosting two public meetings on Wednesday, May 11th to present site options currently being considered for the new VA Medical Center.
At this meeting, the public will have an opportunity to provide comments, via open testimony or in writing, regarding their viewpoint.

The Clifton Center, Eifler Theatre

The Proposed Sites Are:
5905 Fegenbush Lane, a site near the intersection of Fegenbush and South Hurstbourne Parkway (Councilman Peden has fought hard for this site to be a finalist, it is very easy for our district to access and centrally located for the entire county).
Land adjacent to the existing VA hospital off Zorn Avenue
A five-block area north of Broadway and near University Hospital
4906 Brownsboro Road, a site near Holiday Manor, adjacent to the Dairy Queen along the Watterson Expressway
13600 block of Factory Lane, a site along the Gene Snyder Freeway near Chamberlain Lane and across from the Ford Truck Plant.
Directions to The Clifton Center

Access is easy from I-64 at the Grinstead Drive Exit, or from I-71 at the Zorn Avenue (Exit #2)
The Clifton Center is located off Frankfort Avenue at the corner of Clifton Avenue and Payne Street. From the East on Frankfort Avenue, Clifton is the next stoplight after Ewing Avenue; from the West, Clifton is the next stoplight after the railroad tracks cross Frankfort Avenue.
From East on 1-64 (Hurstbourne area): take Grinstead Drive Exit, turn right for one block, then left on Peterson. When Peterson ends at Frankfort Avenue, turn left and continue to second stoplight. Turn left on Clifton. Look for Center on St. Frances of Rome campus on your right.
From South: take 1-65 north to 1-64 East to Story Avenue exit (#7) Follow directions from West on 1-64 above.
Parking
Three parking lots and plentiful Street parking in neighborhood setting on Clifton Avenue and on Payne Street. Disabled parking in lot on corner of Clifton & Payne, use Main Entry facing Clifton.
Disabled access to all floors via Main Entry facing Clifton with parking in Lot C. Disabled access to the Theatre also via alley ramp, with parking in lot B. in lot on corner of Clifton & Payne, use Main Entry facing Clifton.
