 June District 12 Dialogue to feature information about Mayoral Appointments to Boards and Commissions.
Lori Hatton, Mayor's Office Director for Boards and Commissions, will be on hand to talk about the Appointment process and to give information to Southwest Residents about what traits and skills Mayor Fischer is looking for when making an appointment.
"Boards and Commissions are important parts of our City government" says Blackwell, "We need people from Southwest Louisville to step up and be engaged. Being appointed to a Board or Commission is the best way to take part of the process and represent your community."
Representatives from LMPD, IPL, MSD, and Congressman John Yarmuth's office will also be on hand to answer residents questions.

 Riverview Park Independence Festival set for June 30th
Join us for the Riverview Park Independence Festival on June 30th from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Riverview Park is a fantastic attraction in Southwest Louisville, featuring access to the Louisville Loop, a new Playground, and a Splash Park.
The festival will feature musical performances by The Monarchs, 31W, and Ode 2 the Gnu. Food from Mike Linnig's, Ron's Hot Dogs, and Ehlers Ice Cream will also be on hand.
