Happy Black History Month!

The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is celebrating "A Century of Black History Commemorations" as the official theme for Black History Month 2026. This year marks a century since Dr. Carter G. Woodson established the first Negro History Week in 1926, renamed in 1976 as Black History Month. Though February serves as a national month of recognition, OACI celebrates the contributions made by Black individuals to modern culture year-round!
