Councilwoman Parrish-Wright had the privilege of meeting Ms. Rogers, who visited the City Hall to address her concerns about an abandoned vehicle in her neighborhood. While she is not a District 3 resident, the District 3 office was more than happy to help her address her concerns and loop in her council member. The D3 office is always willing to assist anyone who asks, while respecting appropriate district borders.
Ben and Councilwoman Parrish-Wright attended the 2025 Cities United annual convening, which took place in Louisville this year. Both Ben and the Councilwoman had the opportunity to learn about how other cities are addressing violence and interrupting and stopping community violence. People doing anti-violence work, with lived experience from across the country shared best practices, and how to ensure their work was sustainable.
Councilwoman Parrish-Wright also attended the Office of Violence Prevention summit last week at the Goodwill Opportunity Center. She attended a panel where she was able to hear from and ask questions directly to some of Louisville's young people.
Councilwoman Parrish-Wright and her husband James attended the 2025 Circle of Solidarity annual fundraiser for La Casita Center, a nonprofit that accompanies the Latinx community in Louisville.
Councilwoman Parrish-Wright joined the Commonwealth's Attorney Gerina Whethers and the Shively Mayor and Councilmembers for a successful townhall last week. Constituents were able to ask questions and learn more about how different elected officials work together to help solve problems.
Councilwoman Parrish-Wright had the opportunity to visit a library in Lexington. She was so inspired by all the amenities this library offers, and hopes the new Shively library will include plans for teen game rooms, podcast rooms, and other ways for community members to visit and be engaged!
