Dear neighbors,
The first several months in this job have had me focused on Joe Creason Park (remember something about a pickleball center?) and Camp Taylor Memorial Park (which is getting a facelift in anticipation of the pool opening next summer). Now, I am thrilled to be turning my attention to my home park, Klondike Park, a well-utilized space that needs some love.
We've been getting thoughtful responses to our survey on what changes folks would like to see (en español también), and we invite all neighbors and members of the Klondike Lane Elementary School community to join us in the park on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 2-5pm. We'll have bounce houses and snacks and opportunities for neighbors to tell us what they want to see in a new playground and the park in general.
If you're a frequent user of Klondike Park, we need your feedback! If you've never been there, please come check it out and let us know what would make it a destination for you and your family! We're building on a great foundation—now we have the chance to make it even better.

It might be the start of football season, but that doesn't mean we can't still shoot some hoops!
This week, I was able to stop by Camp Taylor Memorial Park and check out the repaved, repainted court with TWO new basketball goals. Make sure to stop by and get your shots up.
