Shively Book Sale!

While we were on the break, we took the chance to visit the Shively Library for their book sale, and the whole team went home with a box full of books! The District 3 Staff Helper, Jocelyn Walker, and Councilwoman Parrish-Wright found both books and stickers to take home!

Metro Council Back in Session

Metro Council was back in session this week for committee meetings. Councilwoman Parrish-Wright serves on the Planning& Zoning, Public Works, Public Safety, and Budget Committees. Back to School Events

The District 3 office is excited to be taking part in back to school events around the district! Councilwoman Parrish-Wright hosted a press conference at Black Diamond's Barber Shop (3983 7th St Road) this week to discuss the events. District 3 will be donating backpacks to these events!

We are so excited the Black Diamond's will be giving free back to school haircuts and school supplies on August 4th from 10am-2pm! If you can donate to the drive, please do (you may donate supplies up until August 3rd at 5pm!)

We are also excited for the back to school event at Cane Run Elementary school, where students can get free school supplies on August 3rd from 10am-1pm at 3951 Cane Run Road.

McFerran Elementary is also hosting a back to school event for kindergarteners on July 26th.
