Councilwoman Hawkins shares important reminders for Algonquin Community Day this Saturday

Louisville (May 23, 2025) – Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins (D-1) is reminding residents about details for Algonquin Community Day taking place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1614 Cypress Street.

As part of the celebration, the Metro Council is sponsoring free pool admission for up to 600 guests at the Algonquin Park Pool from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please note that the pool’s maximum capacity is 300 guests at a time. To accommodate everyone safely, attendees will be assigned either a 12:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. entry time.

While waiting for their designated entry time, guests can enjoy a variety of fun activities planned throughout the park.

Pool Entry Guidelines on Saturday, May 24:  

• Proper swimwear is required for entry into the pool area.
• Only guests who are swimming will be admitted – spectators are not permitted due to the limitations on capacity.
• All guests must sign in and receive a wristband for pool access.
• There is no re-entry once you leave the pool area.

Councilwoman Hawkins encourages all attendees to come out and enjoy a safe and fun-filled day with the community.
