At this point in time, we have registered over 6” of rain this week thus far, with another 4-6 inches of rain coming in over the next two days (the National Weather Service briefing slide is below). This amount of rainfall maxes out our sanitary sewer system and drainage systems. Rainwater will find the path of least resistance and many times will end up in our sewers, robbing the system of capacity. Customers should be aware of that, and that they can continue to call with any needs or issues at 502-540-6000. We are staffed up to respond to calls, but the large amount of rain is a challenge to resources. We are working diligently to respond to every call, and we are working around the clock to respond to this event.
