February, the Louisville Metro Council and the Equity, Community Affairs, Housing, Health & Education Committee recognizes African American citizens across our city whose actions and community leadership can be acknowledged & celebrated. This year’s event is Thursday, February 27^th at noon at Metro City Hall.

If there is anyone in your neighborhood, school, church, community group, or otherwise connected to District 18, please consider nominating them for recognition. You can do so by emailing Daniel.Luckett@louisvilleky.gov .

Please send along their name, contact information (at least email and phone), and a few sentences about why you are nominating them. A short bio will be needed as well. 

We will select the recipient over the coming weeks, so please submit any nominations by Monday, February 3rd to allow sufficient time to have the honoree’s name printed on an award; and congratulatory/invitational letter of this recognition to be sent.
