Thank you for the honor of being your representative in local government for 12 years.....

District 14 Residents,

Well, here I am at the end of my time in public service. It has been my joy and an honor to serve the good people of District 14 and beyond. I am very proud of my many accomplishments over the last 12 years. I was able to secure over $30 million in investments for Southwest Jefferson County. A list is provided below.

Among my accomplishments was a complete makeover of Sun Valley Park! Funding was used to refurbish the community center, pool, tennis courts, golf cart paths, and now the dug outs on the baseball fields will be replaced this spring. A brand-new playground, two walking paths, and a stage was constructed.  Additionally, 300 trees were planted in the park . And that is just Sun Valley!

One of the reasons I ran again this last election cycle was to complete some unfinished projects that I have been working on the past three years. I was able to convince the mayor to purchase Watson Lane Elementary to transform the classrooms into affordable senior apartments.  The project would be completed with a Metro Parks Community Center, a daycare, open green space and single family homes for sale to homebuyers. I look forward to seeing this come to fruition!

Another project I am excited to see come to life is the Veteran’s Village, just north of Stonestreet Road on Dixie Highway.  Our veterans deserve to get services in our end of town and a place to reside until they are back on their feet.

And finally, in the spring of 2025, Mary and Elizabeth Birthing Center will be a reality for the mothers and babies in Southwest Jefferson County. I supported this project from day one, knowing how important it is that women in SW Louisville have access to services that other women in Louisville already have. Talk about a need!

As my time as your Councilperson comes to a close, please know that I have always put the people of SW Louisville first and fought hard for our area.  It truly has been the honor of a lifetime.

Sincerely,

Cindi
