GREG WILLETT JOINS METRO OFFICE OF AGING AND DISABLED CITIZENS
New Coordinator Tasked With Expanding Delivery of Disability Resources
Louisville, KY. – The Louisville Metro Office for Aging & Disabled Citizens (OADC), a division of the Office of Resilience & Community Services, has announced the addition of Greg Willett as the new Coordinator of Disability & Access Services.
Willett will respond to the inclusivity needs of Louisville’s disability community, including people with physical, sensory, mobility, intellectual, developmental, and psychiatric disabilities.
Before joining Metro RCS, Willett recently retired from the Kentucky State Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, where he excelled in varied roles since 1995. He has also served on the Louisville Metro Commission for Persons with Disabilities since 2020.
“I have always had a great passion for helping others,” Willett says. “I am really looking forward to this new beginning and discovering how the opportunities of this position will benefit my community.”
Until Willett’s hiring, the OADC has operated with only one staff person: Coordinator Alli Woosley, who has held her position since 2021. Woosley will continue to serve the Office as the Aging Services Coordinator, with increased focus on the needs of our aging communities and their care partners.
“Working within the OADC has truly brought purpose and pride to my daily life,” says Woosley. “Being able to connect Louisville’s aging and disabled citizens to vital supports and programs and providing free education to help them gain the confidence to age in place has been a dream job. I’m so excited to expand our office so that we may continue the good work of the OADC, while increasing our offerings and building more personal connections in the community.”
According to Sarah Teeters, Louisville’s ADA Coordinator, “I am very excited to be adding an individual with years of both personal and professional experience who will advocate for and prioritize the protection and inclusion of one of our most vulnerable communities. We fully expect Alli and Greg will be a dynamic team and a trusted asset in the years to come. This expansion allows us to more efficiently provide our citizens with greater awareness, education, and timely access to the services they deserve.”
