This week, the full Louisville Metro Council met, and considered several pieces of legislation, including the appointment of candidates to Louisville boards and commissions, changes in zoning to properties, and the allocation of public funds for various public purposes. To view the full meeting agenda, and ordinances considered, please use this link.
Speaking of legislation: we WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU about your priorities for your neighborhood. While a large majority of Council's responsibility is to manage money, Council also writes local ordinances or rules. What are some problems that seem to go un-addressed? We've been hearing about abandoned properties and speeding. While we might not be able to solve these problems overnight, we are happy to do some research to see what rules we have the flexibility to update. We will share you thoughts with the county attorney and pass rules that work for your life, and your community, and our whole city. Please use THIS LINK to complete the short online survey. (If you have neighbors who don't have the ability to complete the survey online, please let us know and we can deliver paper copies.) We plan to start compiling survey results at the end of August.
As always, If you see problems in your neighborhood, like speeding, abandoned properties, or overgrown grass, please report them to our office or to 3-1-1. Our office is awaiting updates from the County Attorney's Office to determine the best course of action for care for Schardein Cemetery.
