AC

Metro Council Air Conditioner Relief Program

Metro Council Districts 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 15, and 21 are working with the Community Ministries to provide a limited number of portable AC units to neighbors without functioning air conditioning. Applications will open at 8am on Tuesday, June 11th and will close Thursday June 13 at 4pm.

Here is a link: tinyurl.com/LvilleMCACProgram. To qualify you must must:

  • live in one of the relevant districts (Note: If you need to look up a client's Metro Council District you can use this map.)
  • be at or under 150% of federal poverty*,
  • have a window that opens and a grounded outlet (this is not a window unit, it is a portable unit that rolls but is vented out a window),
  • not have functional AC, and
  • be able to pick the unit up if they are selected.
  • have permission from their landlord to install the unit

All a/c units will be distributed at South Louisville Community Ministries on Friday, June 21.

*Total gross monthly household income must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty level to qualify for this program, currently $1883.00 for a single person, add $673 for each additional person.
