As spring blooms and summer draws near, we're excited to announce a Community Strategy Meeting, aimed at addressing and brainstorming solutions for the concerns raised around Big Rock last summer.
The meeting will take place at the Louisville Seminary on April 14th at 1pm.
Last summer, Big Rock become a focal point of district-wide conversations. Issues such as parking congestion, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and the impact on our neighborhood's tranquility were at the forefront of these discussions. Thanks to the voices of many in our community, we were able to take immediate actions in partnership with Olmsted Parks, the Mayor’s Office, and other key stakeholders to promote a safer and more respectful environment for all. From increased police presence to the introduction of informative maps and ambassador programs, we've made strides and plan to continue our efforts this summer.
In the spirit of collaboration, we want to listen to your concerns! How can we continue to improve safety and enjoyment for everyone? How do we balance the needs and responsibilities of our diverse community members in shared spaces? These are just some of the questions we hope to tackle together.
Your input is invaluable. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to our district, your perspective matters. I encourage you to join us on April 14th, not just to listen but to share. Let’s envision a summer at Big Rock —that reflects our collective commitment to safety, respect, and community.
