Mozart in the Knobs is a music festival that provides a rich performance experience to fellows in a way that eliminates access issues. The festival gives fellows a chance to play alongside established musicians from across the globe.
Within chamber music, symphonic repertoire, a mass, and an opera, fellows will absorb performance practices in a fast paced, professional environment. Mozart in the Knobs offers a heuristic approach to the mastering of these great works.

Louisville Parks and Recreation and JenCare Senior Medical Center are hosting the third annual Music in the Park, a free concert series designed for people ages 55 and older, located in parks around the city of Louisville!
Music in the Park will take place on the third Thursday of the month now through October. Those attending the concerts should bring a lawn chair or blanket, as seating is limited.
September's concert will be at Petersburg Park! In case of rain or extreme heat, the festivities will move indoors at Newburg Community Center.
Along with live music, several community vendors will be set up at the event to provide valuable health related information to patrons. Complimentary lunch will be provided while supplies last. Free ice cream from Brain Freeze: Cones for a Cause will also be served.

Samosa’s work pulses with energy and personality. You will have the chance to recreate her beautiful painting from her recent gallery show at Revelry Gallery titled: “1988” and make it your own. The Downtown Drive-In is an outdoor movie night series, taking place at Brown-Forman Amphitheater on select Friday nights through October.
Movies will begin at sundown, with the amphitheater open an hour before to allow guests to grab their spot in the theater. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase with beer from Ten20 Brewery, lemonade from Amiracle Ade Company, and gourmet popcorn from Froggy's Popcorn. Movie-goers are also welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the viewing.
This Friday's movie is The Parent Trap (1961), rated G.

The Dr. Ed Morgan/Kiwanis Grand Slam 4 Miler Team Competition will host a four-mile run/walk through beautiful Waterfront Park in the morning and a baseball game that evening.
The competition is open to any 3 to 5 person teams in three divisions: Male, Female, or Coed. Fastest three on each team are scored, the Coed team must score one woman. There will be a Team Award and you will not only compete for team awards; each team member is also eligible for an individual time and awards! There is no additional fee to participate in the Team Competition.

The Louisville Folk School is thrilled to introduce the Shady Grove Summer Stage Concert Series, a free, family-friendly outdoor concert series on the beautiful Douglas Community Center lawn!
Get ready to groove to an eclectic mix of genres, featuring incredible artists like Yapa, Aseye Ensemble, The Price Sisters, Tyrone Cotton, Houseplant, and many more! Each performance promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience. You'll hear performances by some familiar faces from the Folk School extended family and will be introduced to artists who will surely become new favorites.
So, grab your picnic blankets, invite your friends and family, and enjoy the unique sounds at the Shady Grove Summer Stage!
The first 50 teens (ages 13-18) to sign in at each concert will receive meals! Food vouchers to Six Forks Burgers and Spinelli's Pizza will be handed out to those first 50 teens.
The Louisville Folk School is also offering FREE music and art classes exclusively for teens aged 13 to 18. It's a perfect opportunity for teens to explore their creativity and learn from experienced instructors.

Every Tuesday in July
Each Tuesday in July, dine around and dine in with the new fundraising initiative by Apron Inc.! The Dine Around Dine In Club will give Louisville foodies the opportunity to try several restaurants while helping to raise money for grants for independent restaurant workers.
For every $100 Dine Around Dine In Club meal for two, the restaurant will donate $20 to Apron Inc.
How it works: Restaurants will determine a prix fixe meal (Suggested Soup/Salad/App, Entree, Dessert, and 1 Welcome Cocktail per person) and will determine the number of meals being offered for that night. Diners will also receive a special lapel pin.

Every Thursday through October
The Food Truck Clinic is a one-stop-shop where food and beverage vendors can get the green light from the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, Louisville Division of Fire and Jefferson County Fire Service, and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to legally sell food and drinks to the public.
Every Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., from now until Oct. 19, food trucks and other mobile vendors can stop by the alley at Armory Place, behind the Metro Development Center to get their permits to operate.
The Food Truck Clinic not only benefits vendors, but community members, too. Each Thursday, the public is invited to the clinic to enjoy food and beverages after food trucks get the go ahead to open.
