We truly appreciate your patience as we sort through the logistics in providing summer experience to the families in District 3. Those that qualify will receive their passes at the time selected. Ticket cannot be held. It is First Come, First Serve. (6 tickets max per house hold ) Thank you to all who played a part in putting this together. click image or title link above for application access.

Community Engagment

diapers for a cause

The Diaper Bank provides diapers to organizations across Louisville who then distribute them to families in need.  Last year, they increased the number of agencies they serve from 13 to almost 30 and need additional diapers to help meet the growing need.  Their highest need is for pull-up diapers and larger sizes (4-5).  There are donation bins in the Office for Women, outside of Suite 201 in Metro Hall and in the first floor lobby of Metro Hall at 527 West Jefferson Street.

Donations Needed

Support Breckenridge Metro High School in their goal of dressing for success. All donations are appreciated.

Trash for Cash

New Program to help keep Louisville beautiful.

Trash for Cash, a state program being rolled out in Louisville for the first time, helps ensure roadways around Louisville are kept clean while raising money for local youth-serving nonprofits. Qualified nonprofits can apply to join Trash for Cash on Brightside’s website. Brightside will then work with the nonprofit to find a roadway that needs attention, and the nonprofit will earn $100 per mile they help clean.

“Trash for Cash is a win-win for Louisville; the city gets cleaner streets, and local youth-serving nonprofits get more funds to help our kids,” Mayor Greenberg said. “I’m very proud this program has come to Louisville, and I want to thank the hard work of our Metro staff in making it a reality. I hope some of our outstanding nonprofits take advantage of this program to raise funds and help keep Louisville beautiful.”

While Trash for Cash highlights how community groups can help keep Louisville clean, Mayor Greenberg also stressed that hardworking Metro Government employees and their partners at KYTC work year-round toward that goal.
