Louisville Metro Revenue Commission announces walk-in service changes
As the Louisville Metro Revenue Commission (LMRC) works towards a more efficient, productive, and accessible customer service experience for its stakeholders, the agency will be modifying its in-person services to require the scheduling of appointments for most in-person assistance beginning August 1.
The LMRC has seen a decline in its in-person traffic while simultaneously seeing an increase in its phone and web services over the last few years. In 2022, The LMRC assisted only 2,900 of its 131,000 registered taxpayers in person – approximately two percent of the registered taxpayers. Additionally, scheduling an in-person visit ahead of time allows the LMRC to make sure that the taxpayers know what documentation they need to bring to their appointment.
To schedule an appointment with our office, business owners may contact us at 574-4860. Payments will be accepted without appointment. Translation services are available both over the phone and in person for limited English proficient taxpayers.
As a reminder, businesses have 24/7 access to their account at our online tax portal, eMINTS, at http://metrorevenue.org. Taxpayers can view or reply to correspondence, file returns, and pay account balances at any time at their convenience.
Goodwill's Last Mile to Work program needs adult bicycles
