Join Mayor Craig Greenberg for the Memorial Day Hike, Bike & Paddle on Monday, May 29th at the Waterfront Park Great Lawn!
HIKE! This year’s Hike will consist of a 4-mile walk with multiple marked turnaround points throughout. Travel from the Great Lawn and follow the Ohio River east all the way to the Beargrass Creek Pump Station.
BIKE! Cycle 15.7 miles from the Great Lawn out to Iroquois Park and back! The roads will be closed for you to safely travel to Iroquois, and there will be individuals riding along to help with any roadside assistance. Thanks, SWAG It!
PADDLE! Paddlers will have the option of launching at the Harbor Lawn or the U of L Boat Docks and paddle downstream to meet the other paddlers. This year’s paddle will go from the Harbor Lawn upriver to Beargrass Creek and traverse to the Pump Station.
Beginning at 8 a.m. there will be plenty of fun, free fitness activities for you to enjoy. These include Yoga with Yoga East, Tai Chi with Nu Chapter Tai Chi Chuan & QiGong Institute, and Zumba with Nu Image Fitness. Also check out cricket with the Louisville Cricket Club, as well as Pound and HYP3 fitness demonstrations!
FREE t-shirts are available to the first 2,000 people. The t-shirt tent will open at 8:30 a.m., make sure to get in line early to snag you one with our new, awesome logo!
The Hike, Bike & Paddle portion of the event will begin at 10 a.m. after remarks from Mayor Craig Greenberg and our Presenting Sponsor, Norton Sports Health!

The world’s largest tribute to The Beatles, Abbey Road on the River, will return to the Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville, IN on Memorial Day weekend.
This 5-day music festival will feature:
- Micky Dolenz – The Voice of The Monkees.
- The Rascals featuring Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish: With No. 1 songs like “Good Lovin’”, “Groovin’”, “A Beautiful Morning”, “I’ve Been Lonely Too Long”, “People Got To Be Free” and “How Can I Be Sure”,
- Tony Kishman, creator and band leader of Live and Let Die, a full multimedia experience with five multi-talented musicians paying tribute to the music of Paul McCartney.
- Back2Mac: Louisville's own tribute to Fleetwood Mac.
- Colombia’s Classicstone performing hits from Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and more.
- Chicago’s BritBeat: A Tribute to the Beatles with their fantastic multimedia concert spanning all the eras of The Beatles.
- More than 50 bands from around the world will perform at event!

The Food Truck Clinic is a one-stop-shop where food and beverage vendors can get the green light from the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness (LMPHW), Louisville Division of Fire and Jefferson County Fire Service, and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to legally sell food and drinks to the public.
Every Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., from now until Oct. 19, food trucks and other mobile vendors can stop by the alley at Armory Place, behind the Metro Development Center to get their permits to operate.
The Food Truck Clinic not only benefits vendors, but community members, too. Each Thursday, the public is invited to the clinic to enjoy food and beverages after food trucks get the go ahead to open.
