The S. 4th Night Market transforms and activates S. 4th Street, between Guthrie Street and W. Chestnut Street, into a unique outdoor, pop-up shopping and food vendor market in the heart of Louisville.
The monthly series takes place every second Thursday of the month. S. 4th Street closes to vehicular traffic allowing retailers, shoppers, and revelers to utilize the street space and partake in fun!
This Thursday is a Derby-themed Night Market. The event is free and open to the public.
Joined by the Best To-Go Cocktail of 2022 by LEO Choice Readers, Crowler Catering will serve craft beer, wine, and limited-edition cocktails as well as provide various musical entertainment throughout the night.

Join Paristown for a Derby-inspired weekend of art, bourbon and music at Spring Into Derby!
The revitalized historical neighborhood of Paristown is back with a weekend of outdoor community fun featuring an open art market, live music, Derby-centric demonstrations, great food and cocktails.
All weekend long enjoy the Art Market. Shop local and regional art exhibitor pop-ups throughout the Paristown Arts District. This outdoor art market is open to the public with free admission for all ages.

The family-friendly event will offer a variety of activities for those of all ages!
The day will begin with a volunteer tree planting, where community volunteers will work to plant 200 trees throughout Joe Creason Park.
Additional activities include tree giveaways, guided nature walks, tree climbing, rock climbing wall, crafts, games, live music, vendor booths, community booths and more!

The PNC Kentucky Derby Festival Tour de Lou has become one of the Festival’s signature events every spring. This year offers participants the opportunity to ride in-person or virtually.
The Festival is partnering with the Louisville Bicycle Club to produce this premiere ride, which features distance options for all experience levels. The in-person rides will be open course through some of Louisville's wonderful parks and neighborhoods, and Churchill Downs! The virtual option is perfect for those who are out of town or prefer to ride solo on your own time and on your own course.

The 2023 PNC Tour de Lou will start and end at in the corner lot at 301 East Witherspoon Street and the corner of Floyd Street. This will again be a looped course. Riders will bike through the parks and neighborhoods of Louisville, on an open course with safety support.

Jazz at the Filson is a three-part series of jazz presentations directed and curated by internationally recognized vibraphonist and composer Dick Sisto.
Sisto, the music director at Old Seelbach Bar from the late 1980s through 2010, studied with Chicago Symphony mallet maestro Jose Bethancourt and later with Vibe Master Gary Burton.
The Old Seelbach Jazz Bar Reunion Concert will feature the Tri-Tones, a trio made up of Sisto, Tyrone Wheeler on bass and Jason Tiemann on drums. The Tri-Tones played at the Old Seelbach Bar during happy hour and late-night shows five days a week, along with a weekend guest program. The trio will be joined by Steve Davis, an internationally renowned trombonist, and a frequent guest on the Tri-tones weekend set. His style captivates audiences with beautiful lyricism combined with masterful Bebop. The list of the greats he has worked with is too long to mention but includes Jackie McClean and Chick Corea.

This program partners with Metro United Way who works every day to lift our community by mobilizing people and maximizing our community’s resources to advance equity and share opportunities for all.

Some volunteer opportunities include giving fresh paint to community buildings, clean-up and landscaping of our shared outdoor spaces, clothing drives for children and babies, food deliveries to those in need, and so much more.
Any act of service helps! If you are unable to register for a physical act of service but would still love to contribute, donations to the Mayor's Give a Day are accepted here. Your donation will help to keep Give a Day going and provide supplies needed to help the community!

Dinos will take over Louisville Mega Cavern again with Dinos Under Louisville! Visitors will venture under Louisville to uncover 80 life-size moving dinosaurs on a gripping 20-minute adventure through more than half a mile of Louisville Mega Cavern’s underground passageways.
As visitors travel through Dinos Under Louisville, they enter a wormhole and are suddenly transported back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the earth! Guests will enjoy an epic adventure alongside the “live” dinosaurs and experience the Permian, Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous time periods and the extinction event that ended the time of dinosaurs on the planet.
Right before their eyes, dino lovers of all ages will see dozens of colossal dinosaurs as they take over Louisville like never before.
