Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Part of East Jefferson County
Louisville Metro Government sent this bulletin at 02/28/2023 03:41 PM ESTApproximately 2,000 Louisville Water customers in eastern Jefferson County are under a precautionary Boil Water Advisory. The affected area is a small portion east of Floyds Fork. This is a precaution after a sudden loss in water pressure due to a damaged water main along Clark Station Road. You can view a map of the impacted area at LouisvilleWater.com/BWA.
Again, the advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the water supply until water quality tests confirm the water is safe to drink. We will let you know when it has been lifted.
Affected customers should:
- Bring all water used for consumption to a rolling boil for three minutes before consuming.
- Do not use chilled water lines on refrigerators.
- Do not use ice from automatic ice machines. Once the advisory is lifted, dispose of two cycles of ice before use.
